.:Early Christmas:.

We had our 3rd Annual christmas at my house yesterday with the Goffe’s. They live in AZ when it get’s cold outside so we have an early  christmas before they go.

Of course, the joy of hosting any party, there are always little “uh oh’s” that come your way…

First off, the tree was only lit and had no decorations. It ended up being okay but one can get a little stressed when everything isn’t done.

Second, the rotisserie rod broke in half while cooking the prime rib and Matt’s welder was in Greenwater (half hour away) so thank god for my jewelry torch! Matt got it fixed in no time. I wasn’t too worried about that incident because the previous year, the prime rib burst into flames and we had to rush to the store to get a new one…

and Third…. while boiling potatoes, I was feeling like I needed to boil them in a hurry (I don’t know why) so I was stirring them with a tablespoon. Note to self.. while stirring boiling water with big lumpy things that float in the water. DO NOT stir in circular movements or poke at the floaty things. If  you do, water will splash on your sweater and burn your arm making a heart shaped blister.

Other than the little set-backs, the day went well. The prime rib turned out great. I found out only 75% of the group likes broccoli, and everyone likes fully loaded mashed potatoes.

Gracey got her fair share of gifts, we all ended up in the big box at the end of the night, Matt drank 3 pots of coffee to himself, and I ended up getting my 2009 Swarovski Crystal Snowflake Ornament. I have 4 now and they are so beautiful. Someday I hope to have a full tree of beautiful crystals sparkling in my L.E.D.’s There are more pictures on my Flickr if you want to get a glimpse of the whole day.

Now I’m off to watch Julie & Julia (again) while making, packaging, and wrapping my Etsy orders… ‘Tis the Season!

Winter is coming

With help, Gracey made a gingerbread house for some christmas spirit. I have been busy with my Etsy Orders and getting prepared this coming winter.

I have been working on some new designs for my ETSY shop. Here they are! They are scarves with buttons on the bottom for decoration and also they are used to convert your scarf into a cowl/neckwarmer.

Happy November!

I can’t believe we are almost halfway through it… I have been busy with ETSY orders, Halloween, Gracey’s birthday, and in a couple days Matt’s birthday. November is such a busy month for me but with good things. Here are some photos to catch you up on the past couple weeks of my crazy life….

Now onto her birthday… Gracey turned 5 this year with a Snow White themed birthday. We had tacos, cake, and ice cream.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Gracey to the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday. She had lots of fun playing on all the toys, roping a cow, bubbles, running through the corn maze, etc.

After the hay ride, Gracey found a little green pumpkin that she HAD to have.. I think it might have even been smashed. .

I also am bringing a piece I did back in February. I had purchased some beads in a little art town in Arizona and made the necklace there.

Pumpkin Handwarmers

I made these handwarmers today after finishing some orders. They are lightweight, orange, warm, and orange… did I say they are orange? I was having fun with the photoshoot that I tried to make the handwarmers look like a carrot, then I put a cute little model in the shoot..

New packages!

I got some new boxes for my ETSY customers! Not only are my items made with love, they get sent with love! I also just got some really yummy soaps from HeathensHearth to send little gifts with my orders… They are really yummy! I chose the vanilla brown sugar goats milk soap. I really liked it. ETSY customers, let me know what you think.

I made some “seahawk” themed handwarmers yesterday.. I was watching the game and it dawned on me …. DUH!! Football games are cold!!! Why not make them colors of teams! So these are for my seahawk fans…. or if you like neon green and blue…
